VeloPress was founded by Jamie McKaye, a digital marketing consultant with over 18 years of experience in SEO and web development. After years of working with businesses whose WordPress sites were consistently let down by poor performance — and watching generic speed plugins fail to solve the real problems — Jamie built a team of engineers dedicated exclusively to WordPress performance.
The insight was simple: most speed issues aren’t WordPress problems. They’re server problems, architecture problems, and configuration problems that require engineering solutions, not plugin settings.
A caching plugin can’t fix a badly configured server. A lazy loading script can’t fix 85% unused CSS. An image optimiser can’t fix render-blocking JavaScript chains.
So we built VeloPress to go deeper. Every site we work on gets SSH-level access, server configuration, and hands-on engineering. We measure everything, document everything, and guarantee results.
